ViTRo: Virtual Twins in Robotics
By connecting an existing robot controller with a virtual reality system, interaction with a digital twin of a real robot becomes possible. Experience robotics in a practical application.
Unified Reality
Collaborative robots (cobots) enable the simple, flexible and cost-effective automation of new and existing processes. The intuitive operation facilitates the entry into robotics, but to realize the full potential, creative solutions are required. In order to generate these in a playful, resource-saving and risk-free way, digital twins can be used, which cover the entire range of cobot implementations, from application development to commissioning.
Hardware-Coupled VR
A direct hardware connection of cobots to digital twins in virtual reality combines simulation and practice in a future-oriented interaction concept. The representation of the cobots in VR allows an intuitive and risk-free creation, modification and validation of robot programs. Operating concepts of the virtual and real robots are coordinated with each other, so that created programs can be transferred directly to the real robot controller after testing.
Together with the Yuanda Robotics GmbH, a showcase was developed for the Ideenexpo in Hanover, which impressively presents the possibilities and potential of hardware-coupled VR.
